(Outline of the statement by the Deputy Governor of Banten Province)

We expect that this program will contribute to the development of our province.
Under the current economic conditions, even those youths with so much potential have had difficulty in finding a job. We, the Banten Provincial Government, however, are taking measures toward human resource development through this training program in Japan and are expanding employment possibilities for young people in Banten.

(Outline of the statement by the Directorate General of MOMT)

This training program by MOMT/IM Japan is being implemented for the development of human resources in such a way that meets the needs of the times in this era of globalization and transfers Japanese technology and techniques to Indonesia in accordance with the Technical Intern Training Program founded by the Japanese Government.
Many Indonesian young people who have completed the 3-year Training Program in Japan and returned to Indonesia utilize Japanese labor customs and their Japanese language abilities in addition to technical skills they have acquired in Japan. These youths have played a vibrant role in Japanese-owned companies and in companies which they themselves have established.
I take this opportunity to ask you to take the returned trainees into Japanese-owned companies and local companies in Banten for the sake of the economic development of Indonesia.

Comment from a participant: (P.T, Asahimas Chemical - Mr. Saito, Managing Director, Factory Manager)

With their positive attitude, as evidenced in their having spontaneously gone abroad to study, these young people in their 20's will play an important role in local companies. Their 3-year experience in Japan will be very useful in that they understand how to tackle their work. We definitely want to consider giving employment priority to these capable local youths who have returned from studying abroad.
